The newspaper La provincia made a report on May 30th, Canary Island Day, where the work of different experts and its impact in history, cultural and traditions in Canary Island was highlighted. Accordingly, was highlighted the work and research of Pedro Sosa Henríquez, member of the Integrative Biology and Biological Resources division (BIRB), as well as his team formed by Isabel Saro Hernández, Priscila Rodríguez, Leticia Curbelo and Agustín Naranjo, in the field of conservation biology of endemic species Threatened, as well as the work done with the Canary palm tree (canariensis of Phoenix)
