On 14th September, Cristina Afonso Olivares defended his Phd Thesis entitled "Study of the presence, removal and environmental impact of pharmaceutical residues in wastewater form island of Gran Canaria" under the direction of the Professors Dr. Zoraida Sosa Ferrera and Dr. José Juan Santana Rodríguez.
The PhD committee composed of Dr.Juan Pedro Pérez Trujillo, Professor of the University of La Laguna (president); Dr. Marián Másar, Professor of the Comenius University of Bratislava (vocal); And Dr. José Alberto Herrera Melián, Professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Secretary); awarded the distinction "cum laude" unanimously and International Phd mention, for his defense also in English.
